Preparing for your Virtual Session

The following tips can be really helpful to prepare for your first hypnotherapy session ahead of time, to help reduce anxiety and get the most out of the session.

  • Schedule your session at a convenient time when you have no other urgent appointments/errands.

  • Know what you want to address while in session, set your goals and have realistic expectations.

  • Dress for comfort and reserve 10-15 minutes for yourself to quiet down and start relaxing (take 10 deep breaths) before the session begins.

  • Sit in a comfortable chair or couch that allows you to relax without falling asleep.

  • Be in a place/space where you won’t be interrupted.

  • Be sure your phone is off or set to Silent/Do Not Disturb.

  • To further enhance your session, consider using a pillow or blanket.

  • Avoid caffeinated beverages at least 1-2 hours before your session.

  • Avoid eating a heavy meal before your session

  • Use restroom to ensure an uninterrupted session.
